History

2006

In 2006 the Netherlands  competed for the first tim in the discipline Teamgym. At that time it was not yet an official European Championship, but it was called the European club team championship Teamgym . Teamgym was still a very unfamiliar discipline within the gymnastic sport in the Netherlands. Olympia Landgraaf competed with a Men seniors team that year and ended in 8th place.

2012

In 2010 the European club team championship Teamgym was renamed as an official European Championship. The Netherlands decided in 2012 to join the first official European Championship . The European Championship was held in Aarhus, Denmark. The Netherlands decided that year to send down a Women seniors team. They ended at a respectable 8th place in this international tournament.

2014

Two years later, in October 2014, the European Championship was held in Reykjavik, Iceland . The Netherlands then participated in the category ‘Mixed seniors’. The Netherlands took the best performance to date ever achieved on a European Teamgym Championship. The senior mix team took the 7th place. In 2016 The Netherlands strives to do well at the European Championships and get a place in the final with a Men seniors team en even send in a Mixed juniors team. In the future the Netherlands will try to participate with teams in all categories, men, women and mixed both seniors and juniors.
